Animal feed - natural source of betaine Product Description: ActiBeet® is a natural source of betaine, obtained from sugar beet molasses at the AGRANA production plant in Tulln, via ion exclusion. As a multi-functional nutrient, betaine is acting as an efficient methyl group donor and as an organic osmolyte, with direct influence on the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and health. Betaine as a methyl group donor is involved in the methylation process, converting homocysteine into methionine. As an organic osmolyte, it supports the mineral and water balance and helps to maintain the cells’ volume, protecting them against dehydration, especially in heat stress conditions. ActiBeet® improves the overall animal performance and fertility, as well as increases the production efficiency.
